Effective Thursday June 11th we will be resuming our On Demand Van Service. It will run Monday – Friday from 10:00AM – 4:00PM. Rides can be requested using the Harvard Evening Van App. Information can be found here. All other service is suspended
We strongly encourage all customers to adhere to social distancing guidelines and to wear facial coverings while on the van.
Because of coronavirus (COVID-19) and the reduction of the campus population, ridership on Harvard’s shuttles has dropped nearly 100%. As a result, effective Friday, April 24th, the University’s shuttle and van service is suspended until further notice.
Designed for persons who, because of physical impairment or medical condition, find it difficult or impossible to use the regular fully accessible shuttle bus.
This service operates year round, except for designated holidays, throughout the Cambridge and Allston campuses and is available to faculty, staff and students.
All faculty, visiting appointments, staff, alumni, and guests of Harvard wishing to request use of the van service must first receive approval from the Office of the Disability Coordinator at email@example.com.
If you receive approval, rides are by appointment only. The service operates from 8:00 AM until 7:00 PM Monday through Friday, and 12:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, with reduced hours during the summer months and recess periods. Please call 617-495-0400 for more information or to schedule a ride.
All matriculated students wishing to use the van service must be approved by their local student disability coordinator listed here.
Disability Coordinators work with the Harvard community to evaluate and address health related concerns. A variety of factors are taken into consideration when evaluation accommodation for faculty, staff, and students. For more information please visit: University Disability Services website.
