Extension School

Extension School permits for the 2022 Fall semester will be on available in September. Students must apply for permits in person at the Parking Office and pay by cash, travelers check, personal check or credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Discover only). Students must also present the following:

  • valid driver’s license or Harvard ID;
  • copy of course registration confirming you are a current registered student with the Harvard Extension School;

The rate for all student Evening Commuter permits for the 2022/2023 academic year is $180.00. Permits are valid from July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023.

All parking on Harvard property is by permit only. Harvard University Parking Services offers a limited number of permits for nearby University garages or surface lots for Extension School parking. Evening Commuter permits are valid for non-assigned parking in a designated facility, valid between 4:00 p.m. and 3:00 a.m. Monday through Friday, and all day on weekends and University holidays. Permit issuance is determined by current availability. Commuter permits are not available to residents of Harvard University affiliated housing, and are for commuting students only. Hours of parking on this permit are strictly enforced, violators subject to ticketing, towing, and revocation of parking privileges. These permits are sold on a first-come, first-served basis and are only valid in the designated garage or lot indicated on the permit.

Any student with an outstanding citation balance will not be issued a permit until all fees are paid.
